A Recap of the Clubhouse Revitalization Project
This recap of the revitalization project contains excerpts from the Condor newsletter that have been shared with members since September 2020. Click the link above to view the recap report.
These excerpts are shared to show the history of the current project’s evolution with respect to potential financing options and the continual transparency of the project, making it clear that final decisions regarding the actual construction of any portion or phase will not be decided until the costs are determined.
For some members, this recap is a refresher and will merely be a review of the project. For newer members, this recap will bring you up to speed on the actions taken over the past few years.
The plans have been updated and revised as of May 20, 2023:
To view the schematic design as presented and approved on May 20, 2023, please click here.
These plans have been identified by phases; Phase 3 (clubhouse building with admin offices downstairs, temporary office space during construction), Phase 4 (Pavilion, Pro Shop, and golf cart storage), and Phase 5 (recreation/meeting room and fitness or additional meeting room). Once the preliminary inspections and surveys (geological, etc.) have been conducted and reported, the construction documents will be finalized and submitted for plan check with Kern County and requests for bids (RFP's) will be solicited from qualified contractors to determine the costs of each phase individually or in conjunction with the other phases. Once the costs are submitted by qualified contractors, a decision how best to proceed will occur at an open meeting with a phased-approach in mind.
NOTE: The administrative building attached to the Pavilion previously presented (on Nov. 12, 2022) has been removed from the current plans and the new office space has been designated in the downstairs area of the clubhouse. Although the cost savings of making this change has not been estimated, the change should result in a significant cost savings to the overall project. The previous plans from February 2023 and November 2022 are still available for your review should you wish to compare the progress and changes.
