PMC’s fitness program offers something for everyone. Longtime favorite Tai Chi continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A new yoga class is being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. Please see details below. Other classes are as follows: On Mondays, Cardio Dance is offered from 8 to 9 a.m. Tuesdays, Cardio Groove is offered from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. On Wednesdays, Cardio Dance/Drum Fitness is offered from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursdays offer Cardio Groove from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. again, and on Fridays, Cardio Dance & Tone is offered from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays, fitness moves outside with group activities as scheduled. New Yoga Class
Deb Lowe, of Mountain Lotus Yoga, is teaching a new Yoga class at the PMC Clubhouse. She is a private instructor who teaches Yoga classes for all ages and levels, including beginners and seniors, as well as Gentle Stretch Yoga. Lowe’s class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to Noon. Classes are $5 per class, payable directly to Lowe. She is offering the first class for free for new attendees. Description of Classes
Tai Chi–Translated as “Supreme Ultimate,” Tai Chi is a low-impact, weight-bearing, entire-body experience meant to relax participants and allow one’s body to “effortlessly experience the vital life force, or chi, in one’s body.” Tai Chi has been clinically proven to reduce stress, help in heart attack recovery, improve energy levels, increase flexibility, reduce arthritis pain, improve overall fitness and much more.
Cardio Dance–Exercise has never been so fun! This easy-to-follow cardio dance class combines high energy and motivating music. The moves and combinations will make you feel like you are partying on the dance floor.
Bodyworks–Build strength, add definition, increase bone density and decrease body fat by increasing lean muscle. Weights, resistance bands and body weight exercises are used to change the shape of your body — no muscle gets neglected!
Drum Fitness–A full-body cardio workout that uses drumsticks while exercising. Drum fitness provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out!
Cardio Groove–This is a low intensity aerobic dance class that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to get your groove on and leave feeling strong.
Cardio Dance & Tone–The class combines the high energy of cardio dance with light weights. Using weights while dancing enhances your sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.
Pine Mountain Club has a walking/running fitness trail with parcourse exercise stations available for use to all residents.
